Data Back-Up help

I have a hard drive here from a laptop hooked up to the transfer dock. The hard drive shows up an the computer that the dock is connected to but shows no files in the hard drive as if it was a new drive. There is a 100GB taken up in the hard drive but all seem to be hidden, how do unhide all these files?

I've tried taking ownership of the files in the drive, showed files when the ownership was taking place but still didnt unhide the files. Cant find a way to unhide all the files in the properties tab, any suggestion?

This may be an example of one time that it's worth trying out the previously mentioned Ultimate Boot CD or Hiren's Boot Disk to try to and help recover those files. Both CDs have programs in them to help recover files from a HDD.

Also, I'd make sure and run an A/V scan to make sure you didn't transfer more than you bargained for.
